Donna Sheets – Commissioner

Donna was first appointed to the board in July 2000 to fill a vacancy and has been serving ever since. She has always had a love for the community beginning with the educational system.  She spent seven years in PTA and is currently working in the Special Education Department at Perryville High School.

During her time in service to the community, she started and continues to serve on the "Special Events Committee".  This committee, a small and dedicated group of volunteers, has provided the Halloween Parade and Party, the Children's Christmas Party and Music in the park for the last few years. The group also helps the Fire Department with the Easter Egg Hunt and other events as they come up (Bathtub Push for Diabetes).

She is dedicated to improving the community with projects like the lighted Town Directory, flowers at the Town Hall, children's activities and lighted Christmas decorations for the poles.

Her personal highest priority is the children.  The people of Charlestown wanted to do something to bring funds into the Town to create a Boys and Girls Club of Charlestown.  This goal was successfully met.
